MINISTRIES AT JOURNEY
Where is God calling you to serve?
Find an ministry area that you can be involved in at Journey. Being a part of a ministry gives you the opportunity to serve others.
Altar Guild - members of this guild ensures the altar is ready for Sunday worship. This includes preparing for communion and the beautification of the altar.
Greeters - God's church is for everyone! The moment someone walks in the door they should feel at home. Those who serve as greeters is the first interaction visitors experience when they walk into church. We welcome and extend hospitality to all that enter into any service where God can be magnified. If you have a kind demeanor and love to welcome people, the greeters ministry is for you.
Hospitality - We fellowship with one another so we can grow in our relationship with one another. Be a part of the ministry that helps with coordinating fellowship activities and meals.
Social Justice - Isaiah 1:17 - Work for justice. Help the down-and-out.Stand up for the homeless. Go to bat for the defenseless. (Message Bible). The social justice ministry promotes and facilitates awareness, advocacy and action for God's people. We need you if you have a love and desire to show God's love to those in need.
Ushers - Assist in directing people to their seats, providing guidance for worshipers during the offertory period, and assisting worshipers, as needed, so they are comfortable and have what they need during service, e.g. church bulletins/programs, tissues, fans, and/or offering envelopes.
Worship Leaders - Assist Pastor with various aspects of worship. This includes, call to worship, prayer and communion.
Youth and Family Ministry - Working together to find way to ensure that that children, youth and families are an integral part of ministry at Journey of Faith.
